Melissa Chen
Board Member | Events
IWFCI Singapore

Melissa came to financial planning from product design – and the instincts she built there carried over more than she expected. Listening closely, understanding what people actually need, and building something that holds up over time turned out to matter just as much when the thing being designed is someone’s financial life.

At its heart, her work is about honest conversations: helping people face the gaps they’ve been putting off, protecting what matters most to them, and shaping plans that fit their real lives rather than a template. Along the way she’s earned two MDRT qualifications (2022, 2023) and an IDA Bronze Award (2022) – recognition she values above all for what it represents, which is the trust her clients placed in her.

As an Exco Member overseeing Events for IWFCIS, she brings the same care to bringing people together – creating gatherings where members can connect and grow in a way that feels genuine.
